Sysonby Acres is a registered Touring Caravan Park that caters for up to 50 Caravans, 25 of the pitches have electric
hook-up points. The site also accepts motor homes. The site has recently been refurbished and now provides the following facilities:
showering and washing facilities
a vegetable preparation area
a small but well stocked shop
washing up area.

The Estate was able to purchase nearly 39 acres of land on the western outskirts of the town. An 18 hole pitch and putt golf course has been laid out amongst the humps and hollows of the conjectured, medieval, deserted village site of Sysonby. The fairway of one of the holes is the Main Street of the Medieval Village.
Football golf or Footgolf is a precision sport where players kick a football into a cup in as few shots as possible. Its name is a portmanteau of “football” and “golf” and the game combines the two sports, being more closely related to golf.
The game is played the same way as golf, except players use a football instead of a golf ball, and the ball is kicked rather than struck with a club, working towards a 21-inch “cup” in place of the usual golf hole. The player who plays the 9 or 18 holes with the fewest shots wins. Footgolf as sport is played on golf courses.
